For private land managers and estates

Manage your land. Make time for nature.

From path maintenance to planned thinning, Baan connects locations, management measures and assignments. Keep track of what needs doing, who is responsible and how the work is progressing.

The right work in the right place

Link maintenance and management measures to your land and assets. Give staff or contractors a work order with a location, instructions, schedule and estimated costs. Keep tasks and progress with the original assignment.

This connects day-to-day delivery with your management objectives. An observation or inspection provides a starting point for follow-up work at the same location.

Prepare woodland operations

Plan felling using woodland parcels and inventory records. Record tree-marking instructions and map felling areas, access lanes and features to protect. Create a felling work order so the contractor knows where and how to work.

Stock and growth estimates help inform the schedule and expected timber revenue. Compare them with field inventories. The same preparation provides useful information for discussions with a timber buyer.

Keep wildlife records together

Record wildlife counts, observations and harvests by area. Retain species, numbers, dates and relevant legal grounds or permit references. Build a consistent picture of recorded wildlife populations and activities.

Baan flags missing registration information and supports record-keeping. Applicable rules and permissions still need to be assessed for each activity; a complete record does not automatically guarantee compliance.

Common questions

Can I start with one estate or management area?

Yes. Choose an area with specific work for the pilot. Together we follow the process from location and management measure through to work order and feedback.

Can I assign work to an external contractor?

Work orders can contain an assignee and contact details. During the pilot we agree who receives assignments, the access required and how feedback should be handled.
