For nature management organisations
From management vision to fieldwork.
Manage multiple areas in one application. Baan connects long-term visions, management measures, budgets and work orders so managers, planners and contractors can work from the same plan.
Discuss your organisation’s managementMultiple areas, a structure that fits
Keep parcels, assets, plans and work associated with each main area. Switch between management units without needing a separate application for every area.
Organise use around your teams, provinces and management units. User access to areas and roles provide the starting point for separating information. During the pilot we agree who should view and update each type of information, and assess the setup required for each team, province and management unit.
Turn visions into management measures
Record the intended development of your areas and translate it into measures by landscape and management type. Connect Dutch SNL management standards with scheduling, cost estimates and delivery.
Plan grant-funded projects alongside other management work. Work orders define what employees and external contractors should do, where and when. Progress and feedback stay linked to the assignment.
Budgets, income and completed work
Bring measures and projects together in an annual budget. Include expected grants, timber sales and operating income such as hunting leases, property hire and recreation. Compare them with the costs of planned management.
Record estimated and actual costs against measures and work order tasks. Review completed work and recorded costs alongside the budget. Expected revenue, awarded grants and realised amounts remain distinct figures.

Grant opportunities linked to land
Compare recorded grant schemes with nature types, management types, landscape features and parcel area. Baan identifies possible matches and estimates amounts using the entered criteria and rates.
Use the results when preparing measures, projects and applications. A match is a starting point: eligibility and application windows still determine suitability. Automatically retrieving new schemes from grant authorities is a planned extension.
Connect with ERP and CRM
Connect field information with the systems used for relationships, budgets and financial actuals. Baan has a central relationship register for organisations, contacts and their role in the work.
Integrations with existing ERP and CRM systems are discussed on request, including Exact, Unit4, Microsoft Business Central and Dynamics 365. We agree the data to exchange and the authoritative system. A Dutch Kadaster integration is also available for discussion on request.
Manage recreation assets and routes
View buildings, paths, benches, signs and other facilities on the map. Record condition, maintenance dates and responsibilities, then connect follow-up work to a work order.
Build recreation routes from registered roads and paths. Connect maintenance with management and annual planning. We explore reports, multi-year maintenance and temporary diversions around your workflow during the pilot; a dedicated diversion feature is not currently part of the offer.
Investigate your management areas
Combine your own land records and field observations with public maps, weather and satellite sources. Investigate vegetation changes, soil moisture and drought signals in the context of each management area.
Source, date, resolution and reliability determine what an analysis can support. Stock and growth models produce estimates; field observations remain necessary to assess their results.
Discuss the reporting you need for biodiversity, drought, management measures, timber stock, wildlife observations and grants. Records and analyses provide the basis; the content and supporting evidence are assessed for each reporting need during the pilot.
Timber stock and felling plans
Support woodland management with inventory and stand records. Review stock and growth estimates, prepare tree-marking instructions, and plan felling areas and work orders.
Harvest forecasts bring expected volume, income and felling costs together. Include the planned operations in your annual plan and assess estimates using current field inventories.
From felling preparation to timber sales →
Share field stories and photographs
Share work, observations and experiences with colleagues through posts and photographs. Use management, delivery or recreation channels to reach the right team.
Keep the conversation connected to the work. Tasks remain with the work order, while posts support explanations, discussion and the sharing of practical knowledge.
Common questions
Can Baan work alongside our existing administration?
That is the starting point for an integration assessment. Baan focuses on land and operations. We discuss how relationships, budgets and actuals should connect with your ERP and CRM. Integrations are on request.
How do we define a pilot?
Choose a management area and a specific process, such as moving from a management vision to an approved annual plan and delivery. Involve field staff, planners and finance in the review.
Discuss your organisation’s management
